CET2008 examination on April 19th at Bangalore

CET has announced that the entrance exam will be on a single day i.e. Sunday,April 19th 2008.

This entrance test allows students to apply under two different quota
1. Karnataka Domicile students appearing from any of the State syllabus schools or colleges
2. CBSE or ICSE students from Karnataka state only.
((Note: Other state students will need to appear for COMED-K examination ))

Physics and Chemistry will be together as paper 1 - 10.00 am - ( combined 120 marks )

Maths - 2.00 pm will be paper 2 ( 60 marks )

Biology - 4.00 pm paper 3 ( optional) ( 60 marks )

There will be more than 6-8 centres for the examination.

VIT , Vellore is also hosting their entrance examination on same date.

Students who will appear for CET will not be able to opt for Vellore's famous institution.

IIT-JEE details:
IIT-JEE is on 13th April . Forms are available online till Jan first week.
To apply you need 10th std or 12th standard marks card and one recent photograph with
white background.
To get forms visit nearest Bank and pay Rs 1000/- to get form for boys
Girls are less in IIT's - hence form fee has been reduced to Rs 500/-

or visit website if you need to apply online. ( needs DD or payment of Rs 1000/- )
1. You must have a good quality laser or inkjet installed to print the acknowledgement or online application form.
2. Scanned photo, marks card and some of the payment related info (DD or credit card )
